Brenda Boyd Cooper joins the library staff as a substitute in the Circulation department. Brenda is a Cheyenne, Wyoming native where she graduated from high school and received an Associate of Arts Degree from North West Community College in Powell. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo in 1987 where her first child, Grace, was born. Shortly afterward, they moved to the Gallatin Valley and have been ever since. After a 15 year career with the Community Food Coop, Brenda went back to school and among the life events of Grace’s enlistment in the United States Navy, marriage to Monte Cooper and the births of two more children, Carol and Boyd, she achieved a Master of Science Graduate Degree in Information Science via an online program from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Brenda has been an avid library enthusiast all her life and was a volunteer at the Bozeman Public library for five years prior to employment.
