On Wednesday, June 19 at 6:30 pm, sculptor Steve Connell will discuss his work as part of the Bozeman Sculpture Park (BSP) 2013 Lecture Series. Connell’s lecture will focus on his sculpture titled, “Cartoon.” The piece, standing ten feet tall, is a bright yellow steel form that “toys with the under currents we tend to find in humor—the hilarious, the frivolous, and the sinister.” Connell is a professional sculptor and rancher from Charlo, and taught sculpture at the University of Montana for nearly thirty years. This final lecture in the series will be held in the Community Room from 6:30-8pm, followed by a reception for the artist. All lectures are free and are open to all. Tours of the park are available upon request at info@bozeman sculpture park.org.
