Date: Sunday, January 13, 2013 - 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Join expert in letters Lorca Smetana on Sunday, January 13 at 3pm for an exploration of letters through history and some help getting the letters lurking in the back of your head onto the page and into the mailbox.  Lorca will survey letters in history and literature, as well as playing with pens and ink, inkwells and sealing wax. Discover ways to start difficult letters and to finish fun ones, and the myriad ways to make them uniquely personal. You will also meet homing pigeons—the world’s first airmail service! This workshop is designed to inspire and to remove obstacles to the richness of a letterwriting life.
