Our eight week program is designed to help you get ready for your first 5K or train for a 10K with a weekly running plan, a motivational story or podcast, and tips to help you meet your goals. We meet online every other week from 7:00 to 8:00 pm to discuss our reading or podcast and share our running experiences from the past two weeks. Our first meet up will be held June 3.

First Discussion will be held June 3, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Zoom at this Link

Our first discussion will be on "Tin Man", an episode from Human Race.  Human Race is a podcast about runners and the world of running.  This episode is the story of Randy Shepherd, a man who lost his heart. He never enjoyed running or considered himself a runner.  While in his 30's, his life changed forever when his heart began to rapidly fail. Without time to find a transplant donor, surgeons removed and replaced Randy's heart with a machine called a total artificial heart.  After his surgery, with his prospects and limitations unclear, he made a huge decision that would transform his life once more.  He decided to run his first 5K.

Please contact Brianna at brussell@bozeman.net to sign up for our weekly training plan and tips, receive a link to our virtual meeting, and join a supportive community of runners and readers.

Share your runs and connect with other group members by setting up a free account on Strava and joining the Bozeman Public Library Running Club Page.
