Re-Opening of the Library: Services
From Library Director Susan Gregory
May 4th, 2020
We’re happy to let you know that we will re-open the Bozeman Public Library using a phased approach, beginning with curbside delivery of materials on Monday, May 18th. Specific details for this service, and any pertinent information regarding re-opening, will be on our website, www.bozemanlibrary.org, in the near future. During the Phase 1 period of the Governor’s Re-opening Montana Plan, the Library building will remain closed to the public due to our inability to limit attendance to groups of ten individuals or less. There is no specific date for the end of Phase 1 at this time because it will be determined by the activity level of COVID-19. When Phase 2 starts will be determined by a directive from Governor Bullock. We hope that the ability to pick up materials at the Library with curbside service and the ongoing availability of the Library’s virtual, e-materials will help keep you engaged until we can re-open the building and offer limited Library services in Phase 2.
The health and safety of our patrons and staff continue to be our guiding concerns in building our recovery plan. As a City of Bozeman department, we helped to create the pandemic recovery plan for the City and contributed protocols unique to the Library’s safe operation. It is our hope that, with your help in the weeks to come, we will be able to work through the different phases of recovery smoothly and with few setbacks.
We miss all of you! We know that this has been a very challenging time for everyone and we sincerely thank you for your patience. Thank you for being such loyal, caring patrons and for making our work with you a joy. Please stay healthy!
Susan Gregory, Library Director
