One Book One Bozeman has officially begun!

Have you read the book yet? We sure hope so! Reserve your copy of the book here and get ready for Jamie Ford's visit to Bozeman on February 26 and 27!

Highlights of our events so far:

"Learning the history of Matcha, the ancient tea featured in a Japanese Tea Ceremony mentioned in Love and Other Consolation Prizes, was a highlight, along with learning to prepare it, sharing it, and enjoying the flavor. Thanks to Melissa and Scott Herron, of Townshend's Tea for their expertise, and to all the people who came out on a snowy Saturday afternoon to partake."- Beth Boyson, BPL Librarian

What People Are Saying About Love and Other Consolation Prizes

"Ford casts this complex love story against the backdrop of the little-known history of Chinese and Japanese orphans, who found slavery and indentured servitude rather than opportunity in America."  - Kirkus reviews, summer 2017

“An evocative, heartfelt, beautifully crafted story that shines a light on a fascinating, tragic bit of forgotten history, this is Jamie Ford at his storytelling best.” - Kristin Hannah, author of The Nightingale

“Heartbreaking, wondrous, triumphant.”- Ken Liu, author of The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories

"This novel crafts an excellent blend of genres and devices that I love together: historical fiction, a love story with a hint of tragedy, and characters I can invest in. A must-read!"- Corey, BPL Librarian
