We are beginning a phased re-opening plan for the Library! Starting Friday, May 15th, we are starting to take returns. Returns will only be accepted on Fridays until further notice: see instructions. On Monday, May 18th we begin curbside pickups for holds. Please see instructions for how this process works. The Library will remain closed during this phase. We are following guidelines from the state, the County Health Department and the City of Bozeman for re-opening slowly and we look forward to seeing you sometime soon in the future.

**Please note- Curbside Pickup will not be available on Monday, May 25, as the Library will be closed for Memorial Day.  We wish everyone a safe holiday weekend.

There is no limit on the number of check out items, except for “Most Wanted” Books (2 at a time) and downloadable eBooks and Audiobooks (5 at a time). 

Account Notifications via Text

With Shoutbomb, receive text notifications about due dates, holds, and overdue items and renew items via text.To sign up, text "signup" to  (406) 215-4240. (Standard text messaging rates apply.)

Renewing Items

Items can be renewed up to 2 times, unless there are holds. You may renew items through the online Library Catalog, over the phone at (406) 582-2408, in-person, and through the library’s self-checks.  

Returning Items 

Library items may be returned in the book-drops located in the lobby and outside on the west side of the building.

Placing Holds

Holds can be placed through your library account online. Patrons are allowed 10 holds at a time. When your hold is available for pick up, you will be notified via email (or phone if no email is provided).  If the items are in and on the shelf, please allow the Library at least 24 hours to fill your request.
