Montana Individual Income Tax Returns are due:

Please note that the Library does NOT carry tax forms. Patrons are encouraged to file electronically or may print tax forms from the IRS website. The Belgrade Public Library does have a limited number of tax forms available.

Free Tax Assistance at the Bozeman Public Library 

Free tax help provided by certified volunteers is available to assist low or moderate income taxpayers complete basic tax returns for Federal and State taxes. These trained volunteers can help with earned income credit, child tax credit, education credits, and homeowner/renter credit. All ages are welcome for tax assistance!

This service is offered by appointment on Tuesdays during tax season from February 5 - April 9 in the Conference Room, from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Appointments are required and can be made by calling (406) 586-6641 or (406) 587-8666. This service is sponsored by AARP Tax Aid.

If you have a household income of less than $64,000, you can use the IRS Free File website to file your taxes.

Montana Department of Revenue

The Montana Department of Revenue offers free electronic filing options for taxpayers, including the Montana Form 2EZ (short form) and Form 2 (long form), as well as Form 2EC (elderly homeowner/renter credit).

If you made $66,000 or less during 2017, you can file your federal and state taxes online for free with MyFreeTaxes. You can also find useful tax-related tools and information.
