Make a Reservation

  • Manage an Existing Reservation 
  • Please review the Meeting Space Use Policy (PDF) to make sure the Library is the appropriate meeting venue.
  • Spaces are available during all Library open hours and are Wi-Fi accessible.
  • No-show policy: we allow a 15 minute grace period; reservations may be forfeited after that time.
  • Please know that the Community Room piano is available on a first-come, first-served basis when there are no reservations. Check in with staff upon arrival and let them know how long you would like to play the piano. Do not move the piano.

Study Rooms

  • Study rooms may be reserved for up to 2 hours every day, up to 7 days in advance or for immediate use. Library card is not required.
    • Bitterroot Room: accommodates up to 4 people, second floor.
    • Buttercup Room: accommodates up to 4 people, second floor.
    • Open Door: accommodates up to 6 people, first floor across from the Creative Labs.

Conference Rooms

  • Conference room reservations require library approval and, therefore, may be made 24 hours to 60 days in advance. Groups may have up to 4 reservations for a Conference Room within a 30 day period. Valid Bozeman Public Library card required. Both rooms have a TV monitor, HDMI cord, and USB-C, Displayport, Mini Displayport, and Mini HDMI adapters. When room is not in use: see staff at 2nd floor Information Desk to reserve room for up to 2 hours.
    • Aspen Room: accommodates up to 6 people, second floor.
    • Ponderosa Room: accommodates up to 8 people, second floor.

Meeting Rooms

  • Meeting room reservations require library approval and, therefore, may be made 24 hours to 75 days in advance. Groups may have up to 2 reservations for a Meeting Room within a 60 day period. Valid Bozeman Public Library card required. Both rooms have a TV monitor*, HDMI cord, movable tables and chairs, USB-C, Displayport, Mini Displayport, and Mini HDMI adapters. In addition, the Community Room has a projector, screen, and microphones (handheld, gooseneck, lapel).
    • Community Room: Max capacity 183 (standing room only), 120 chairs provided, first floor.
    • Cottonwood Room: accommodates 9 to 20 people, second floor.

Front Plaza Area

  • Green space and plaza on the north side of the Library building. Access to electric. Tables, chairs, extension cords, etc. must be provided by the group reserving the space. Total Capacity: 300.

Using Reservable Spaces

  • The Library’s meeting rooms are a venue for organizations, groups, and individuals seeking to hold programs of an informational, educational, cultural, or civic nature. All events held at the Library must be free and open to the public. No business promotion, selling, solicitation, taking orders, fundraising, or donation based events may occur in the rooms. Priority scheduling is reserved for Library and government programs. Please review the Meeting Space Use Policy (PDF) to make sure the Library is the appropriate meeting venue.
  • Reservation Confirmation: Once you have submitted your Conference or Meeting Room reservation, you will receive an email that your reservation has been submitted for review, and, once the reservation has been reviewed, you will receive another email confirming or denying the reservation.
  • Meetings must take place during open Library hours, including set up and tear down.
  • Use of meeting rooms does not imply endorsement, support, or co-sponsorship by the Bozeman Public Library.
  • Groups are responsible for clean-up. Failure to clean up after a meeting may result in the denial of future reservation requests.
  • No-show policy: we allow a 15 minute grace period; reservations may be forfeited after that time.
  • Spaces are only available during Library open hours and are not available on holidays. Library hours:
    • Monday - Thursday: 10am - 8pm
    • Friday: 10am - 6pm
    • Saturday: 10am - 5pm
    • Sunday: 1pm - 5pm
